The 2015-2016 Nazareth sports season has been completed. On Monday, May 23 the Baseball team went up to Stroudsburg for a District Playoff Game and lost 2-1 to finish the season 11-10.

The Nazareth Softball team played host to Pleasant Valley on May 24 and won 9-2 in a District Game and then in the Quarterfinals on May 26 the Softball team went to Freedom and fell short 6-2 to finish the season 11-11.

The Nazareth Girls Lacrosse team finished their season at 9-11 while the boys Lacrosse team finished the 2016 season at 10-9 and the boys volleyball team had a 9 and 7 record in 2016.

The Nazareth track finished fourth in the State Championship in Shippensburg over the weekend as it was the first relay championship in school history.  Nazareth’s Jahan Dotson won PIAA 3A long-jump title in the track championships. Nazareth Area takes the win in the AAA boy’s 4×100 in 41.86, it was the first five wins and first state track title since 1970 (Carlton Huff, Class B pole vault).  Also in the track states, Kenny Stocklinski and Jilian Liaci both are gold mentalists. It was a great year of sports at Nazareth and the 2016-2017 school year should be even better when fall sports practice starts on August 15.

This Friday, June 3 at 7 p.m. at Stabler Arena, the Class of 2016 will be graduating and going out in the real world. I would like to take this time to stay congratulations to all of them.
