The 2014-2015 Nazareth winter sports season is about to close. The Nazareth girl’s basketball team participated in the 1st round of the PIAA Tournament on March 6. The girls played at Freedom High School, taking on Mount St. Joseph’s from Philadelphia, where they fell short 48-45 to see their season end. Back on February 28, the boy’s basketball team played in the District XI Consolation Game at Freedom High School against Allen. Allen knocked off the Blue Eagles and the boys saw their season come to an end. This past weekend, the Nazareth wrestling team sent out four wrestlers to the State Tournament. Tyrone Klump won the state championship and Sammy Sasso finished in 2nd place in Hershey. The Nazareth swimming team will be in the State Tournament at Bucknell University March 12-14.
